110 Celts Land on 2021 Fall Dean's List

The University of St. Thomas-Houston is proud to celebrate our 110 student athletes who made the 2021 Fall Dean's List. After a successful semester where all Celts were either in season or preparing for future seasons, they showcased their commitment to academic excellence.

In order to qualify for the Dean's List, a student must maintain higher than a 3.3 GPA for the relevant semester and be enrolled full-time. The fall list included representation from all 15 varsity sports. Baseball led the way, landing 20 student athletes on the list, a program best. Following them was the 2021 SCAC Champion Men's Soccer program with 13 student athletes. Softball would place 12 Celts on the Dean's List in just their second year of competition, while the Volleyball program would tie Softball and see two-thirds of their roster honored.

Overall, Women's Tennis would lead the entire athletic department with the highest percentage of student athletes on the list—fully 85% of their roster was represented. Within the Women's Basketball roster, 71% would receive Dean's List honors. And finally, 10 of the 16 golf student athletes, or 63% of them, would showcase their academic excellence and be recognized.

"We are very proud of our hardworking student athletes," said Director of Athletics Todd Smith. "To see over 100 student athletes on the Dean's List is a special moment. Knowing how hard it is to achieve this sort of academic success while pursuing their passion is terrific. We want to take a second to say thanks and congratulations to each one of these individuals."
