All-Campus Celt Career Day Scheduled for March 7

Celt Career Day FlyerCareer Services will host the largest career development event on campus - Celt Career Day on campus from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, in Malloy Hall. This action-packed day is an all-campus professional development opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, international, veterans and athletes. Alumni are also welcome to attend.

“Celt Career Day is an opportunity for students to meet with alumni and industry professionals to learn about different career paths, understand what they can do with their major, learn about industry trends, and hiring tips,” Director of Career Services, Paula Marsh, said.

The event offers presentations on many topics including:

  • How to Build your Professional Brand through LinkedIn
  • Dress for Success
  • Veteran Job Search
  • International Student Job Search
  • First-Generation topic

Learn more about career tracks from Houston industry professionals. Breakout sessions include many areas of interest:

Healthcare, Energy, Consulting, Technology, Law, Education, Accounting, Medicine, Nursing, Government, Non-Profit, Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Marketing, Theology, Psychology, Human Services, Financial Services/Banking, Liberal Arts/Studio Arts/Theater, Resumes & Cover Letters, Interviewing, Veterans, and Sports

As part of the campus-wide participation, faculty members will serve as moderators for the panelists and student organizations will serve as greeters for each session.

The event also offers time to mingle, network and enjoy refreshments. Also as part of the day, students will have the opportunity to have headshots taken (LinkedIn photos).


Students need to wear business professional and panelists and speakers may wear business casual.
