Attention Students and Alumni: UST Hosts Texas Job Fair on April 4

Faculty and staff should encourage students and alumni to prepare for the upcoming Texas Job Fair by sprucing up their resumes and practicing elevator speeches. Hundreds of job opportunities with more than 100+ employers will be on UST's campus at this year's Texas Job Fair on Tuesday, April 4. This job fair is one of the largest college job fairs in Texas! The location is Jerabeck Activity and Athletic Center.

The Texas Job Fair is an annual event hosted by the Houston Area Consortium of Career Centers. The fair moves from campus to campus each year; this is UST's year to host. The UST Career Services Office coordinates the event. Career Services aims to empower students to discover, explore, experience and pursue their vocation, which will impact the world.

UST's Assistant Director of Employer Engagement, James D. Martin II, said, "The event is open to all majors and will serve undergraduates, graduate and doctoral students. The mission is to provide various job opportunities, enhance networking skills and learn information about companies in each student's field of interest."

14 Universities and Their Students/Alumni Will Participate in this Year's Job Fair.  Register here.

"The University of St. Thomas is a member of the Houston Area Consortium of Career Centers (HACCC) consisting of the 14 universities sharing a common goal of student success," Paula Marsh, director of Career Services at UST, said. "The mission of HACCC is to promote and serve our students and alumni through collaboration, professional development, engagement of employers, and education. Each year HACCC hosts the Texas Job Fair, allowing students to network with over 100 companies and offering employers the chance to meet over 500 students from the 14 universities."
