Support a Worthy Cause by Tasting Tacos and Craft Beer
University of St. Thomas’ annual Two Saints and a Taco Tasting is Houston’s premier taco-tasting event that attracts alumni from across the region for a friendly competition among some of the city’s best restaurants combined with the taps of Texas’ oldest craft brewery.
This sell-out event amounts to great fun for alumni while raising money for the Alumni Association Student Scholarship Fund. Last year, 16 deserving students were awarded more than $115,000 in scholarships by the UST Alumni Association.
"As past scholarship recipients ourselves, my husband Bobby Warren and I are thrilled to co-chair this year's Two Saints and a Taco event," said Taryn Baranowski-Warren '03. "The fact that all proceeds from the event go back to helping other students fulfill their desire to attend the University makes this something all alumna should be proud to support. We first met at the University, and we are grateful for the important relationships we formed there with other students, faculty and staff."

Tickets for this year’s event go on sale on March 9. The 9th Annual Taco Tasting event is Thursday, April 23 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, 2000 Lyons Ave, Houston. Buy tickets at www.stthom.edu/twosaints.

Tacos + Beer = Scholarships
Among the acclaimed local restaurants competing for the best taco prize are: Chilosos Taco House, Escalante’s, Fusion Taco, Moon Rooster, Tacodeli, Ambriza, Pacific Coast Tacos and Velvet Taco.
Saint Arnold beer (including root beer) flows on tap throughout the evening as guests mingle, sample the food and enjoy the festive atmosphere. This event attracts 500+ guests and includes music and a silent auction.
