McNair@UST Launches First Startup Accelerator

Are you serious about starting your business? Do you have a current gig or small business?

In the spring 2022 semester, St Thomas will launch its first startup accelerator course.

"We are excited to pioneer with this new and exciting accelerator course," Dr. Patrick Woock, director of the McNair Center for Entrepreneurship and Free Enterprise, said.

The class, MGMT 4369, is limited to 10 people.

"In this class, we will work with you one-on-one to take your business to the next level," he said.

Students will have access to mentors, resources, training and funding. All students completing the program will receive Seed Capital for your business.

"Not only will our accelerator help jump start your business or side hustle, but we will also fund your business by providing student Seed Capital," Woock said.

"Finally, the McNair Center recently agreed with LiftFund, to support its funding effort," Woock said. "Our goal is to provide $500,000 in funding every year!"

If interested in taking this class, contact Dr. Woock at woockp@stthom.edu.

"Make your dreams happen!"
