Peavy School of Nursing Hosts Simulation Professionals of Texas in November

SPOT  logoOn Nov. 4, the Peavy School of Nursing (PSON) will host SPOT’s (Simulation Professionals of Texas) first-ever Houston meeting on campus. The SPOT meeting will draw approximately 50 healthcare simulation folks from the Texas Medical Center to Galveston, Texas, spotlighting PSON’s state-of-the-art simulation labs.

The SPOT Fall ’22 Lunch & Learn opens at noon with networking, followed by the presentation, “A Three-Tiered Model Approach,” along with a question-and-answer session. Presenters include PSON faculty, staff, and alumni: Dr. Kristina Leyden, professor of Nursing and Undergraduate Nursing Interim Division Dean; Nakisha Paul, director of Simulation Center & Educational Support Services; and alumna Natalie Filer, BSN, RN. In addition, Gaumard, a vendor who produces simulators for Health Care Education, will sponsor the lunch. Gaumard representatives will also give a talk at the meeting.
