Reboot Video Series with Kechi & Isabel Gives Voice to Students

Here comes "Celts on the Street"

Way more than 15-seconds of fame: That’s what UST’s “Celts on the Street” video series offers St. Thomas students. UST social media, through its Social Media Producer Brittani Wright, has rebooted the popular video series, featuring two hosts.

Students who come across the camera crew may get to visit with 2019 “America’s Got Talent” finalist and “Celts on the Street” host Kechi Okwuchi ’15. Or they may encounter ace MAX Studios host and sophomore Isabel Garcia. Each is an easy, approachable communicator who makes an instant connection and puts interviewee students at ease.

Wright said, “Kechi and Isabel offer a microphone to students on campus and get them to spontaneously talk about trending topics, current events or whatever may be on their minds. Students have their voices heard. And they love it.”

Episodes are one to four minutes in length, and here is a treat—the first two, new “Celts on the Street”— here and here.

A new show appears every Tuesday and lives on UST’s social media channels:

Wright adds, “Responses have been wonderful. We get a lot of engagement!”

Stay alert on campus for an opportunity to have your voice heard as a Celt on the Street.
