Students, Faculty & Staff Get “Special Promotion” to Boost Skills

The clock is ticking on an outstanding promotion. Until September 30, 2020, all current University of St. Thomas students, faculty and staff have free access to Coursera’s online catalog of 39,00 courses to strengthen skills.

Through Coursera’s on-demand video lectures, students may further their studies in everything from arts and humanities to computer science to social sciences to physical science and engineering.

Chief Innovation Officer Dr. Beena George said, “UST is pleased to make this opportunity available to learn skills that match a student’s current major or degree program. Or, they have the chance to try something entirely new.”

The special, 60-day promotion by Coursera to universities began in August. Students who complete their Coursera courses successfully by the end of September will receive any corresponding credentials/certificates for free.
