Support a Great Cause with a Great Pint

Celt Beer FestIf you love craft beer and want to support a great cause, the Celt Beer Fest is for you! The University of St. Thomas is the host of the 2nd Annual Celt Beer Fest at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, featuring the best craft tasting in Houston.

The event will feature local craft beer favorites, food trucks, artisan vendors and live music. All proceeds support the Freshman Study Abroad Scholarship Fund.

Participating breweries include: Saint Arnold, Eureka Heights Brew Co., 8th Wonder Brewery, Karbach Brewing Co., 11 Below Brewing, No Label Brewing Co., Houston Cider Co, and Sierra Nevada. Music will be provided by Not the Rachels.

“We know that studying abroad can be a life changing experience in the lives of our students,” Said Jo Meier-Marquis, director of Freshman Symposium. “Through study abroad scholarships we are able to give that opportunity to more students, especially those who might not be able to afford study abroad otherwise.”

Tickets are $25 and include festival entry, eight 3 ounce pours from participating brewers and a complimentary Celt Beer Fest tasting glass.
