University of St. Thomas Recognized for 2 Top Degree Programs in the U.S.

The ranking organization’s comprehensive research guide is based on an assessment of 2,277 accredited colleges and universities in the nation. Each program was evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation and post-graduate employment. Also, Intelligent.com ranked UST No. 42 overall as a Best Colleges in Texas out of 129 surveyed.

For this ranking, Intelligent.com reviewed 129 colleges in Texas, making sure to cover large institutions, liberal arts colleges and midsize universities. To help prospective students identify the best ones, they ranked these colleges according to teaching modes, cost per credit hour and credit hour requirements. They looked only at accredited schools, and evaluated each program on the basis of flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost and reputation.

Intelligent.com Ranks MCTM Degree  #2 in Nation: Best Catholic ProgramMaster in Clinical Translation Management: Ranks No. 2 for Best Clinical Research Degree Program

The  also known at UST as the Master in Clinical Translation Management (MCTM), has ranked No. 2 in the nation out of 30 Clinical Research degree programs, up five spots from last year. It has also been recognized as the best Catholic University for programs in the field.This cutting-edge degree program, offered in a blended format, is a collaboration between UST’s Cameron School of Business and Houston Methodist Research Institute. In this master’s program, students learn how to  basic biomedical research discoveries through clinical trials and FDA approvals to clinical patient care. The UST campus is within close proximity of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center and TMCx Innovation.

One-Year, Fast-Track Online Program

The MCTM is a one-year, online program that fast-tracks its students through a rigorous curriculum. The majority of the program is completed through online modules, and students are provided ample opportunity for in-person training, networking and professional development through the University. The program requires participants to attend three residency periods: the first in Houston, the second as part of an international study abroad program, and the final for the annual BIO International Convention. Participants also complete a capstone project utilizing ongoing research developments through partnerships with the Houston Methodist Research Institute and NASA’s Technology Transfer Program. Intelligent.com Ranks Education Leadership Master Degree #5 in nation: Best Hybrid ProgramMaster of Educational Leadership Degree Program: Ranks No. 5 for Best Hybrid Program

The Master in Educational Leadership Degree Program with a Principal Certification ranks No. 5 in the nation for the Best Hybrid Program. This accredited, 18-month, 30-hour program is offered on campus and online through UST’s School of Education and Human Services. This program is for experienced educators with at least two years of teaching experience who are interested in becoming an administrator in a K-12 school or district. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the TExES Principal Exam for certification in the State of Texas. A variety of courses are part of the program from clinical supervision, school finance, school law, curriculum planning, educational research and data analysis.

School of Education and Human Services Dean, Paul Paese, places credit for the program’s success where it belongs. “The reason our program is so outstanding rests with the quality of our faculty and the program leadership. Courses are updated each and every semester, ensuring that they are state-of-the-art in both technology and content.”
