UST Alumna Gloria Luna Bounds ’03, MBA ’05, Honored at Latina Women’s Initiative Fashion Show & Luncheon

Gloria Luna Bounds '03, MBA '05Tootsies and Latin Women’s Initiative (LWI) teamed up to present the Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon, a sold-out event held at Hilton Americas-Houston downtown on Friday, Aug. 13. UST alumna Gloria Luna Bounds ‘03, MBA ’05 was honored at the event, which featured Colombian fashion designer Silvia Tcherassi. Event proceeds will benefit local Houston charities selected by LWI.

Bounds served as Honorary Chair beside Fashion Show co-chairs Elia Gabbanelli and Vicki Luna ’07 MLA, and LWI President Maritza Gonzales. Bounds was honored at the event for her service to LWI and the Houston community.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Latin Women’s Initiative,” said Bounds. “It has been a privilege to serve and support the work of such a prestigious community provider that does so much for so many throughout our community. “

The Latin Women’s Initiative, founded in 1995 by three community-minded women, is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Latin women and children by providing financial and volunteer support through local non-profit organizations. LWI has blossomed into one of Houston’s top Hispanic fundraising organizations. Since its inception, LWI has donated more than $2 million to local nonprofit organizations making a significant difference in the lives of thousands.

LWI membership categories are are individual, corporate of lifetime. LWI’s strategy is to educate its members on the local socio-economic conditions, fundraise and provide volunteer services to improve the outlook for this growing population.
