UST Board Member Sheila Enriquez Named to 2020 Breakthrough Women List

University of St. Thomas Board of Director’s Member Sheila Enriquez University of St. Thomas Board of Director's Member Sheila Enriquez was named one of the 2020 Breakthrough Women by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

“This recognition is well deserved,” UST President Richard Ludwick said. “Sheila is indeed a breakthrough professional. Her wisdom, energy, and love of the community are exemplary and we are honored that she serves as a director of the University of St. Thomas.”

Enriquez, an attorney licensed in Texas and holds the Certified in Financial Forensics and Certified Valuation Analyst credentials, and is the Managing Shareholder at Briggs & Veslka. She has been with the firm for more than 20 years and is known for delivering high-level assurance and consulting services. Her expertise includes external and internal audit services, forensic accounting, valuation and litigation support and mergers and acquisitions due diligence.

Enriquez earned her JD from University of Houston Law Center, her MBA from Long Island University and her BS in Public Accounting from Mercy College.

She joined the Board of Directors at UST in 2019 and serves on the Marketing and Communications and Strategic Planning Committees.

In addition to this award, Enriquez was named one of Women Who Mean business by the Houston Business Journal in 2017.
