The Houston Health Department and University of St. Thomas team up to offer COVID vaccinations on campus in the Center for Science and Health Professions Atrium lobby on Tuesdays, Sept. 7, 14 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. This vaccine site is open to the public and the vaccination is free and does not require ID, proof of residency, citizenship or insurance. Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available for those 12 years and older.

UST will offer vaccination cash incentives to faculty, staff and students who get the vaccine.

UST Cares about Health & Safety of our Community

“The University of St. Thomas Houston holds the safety and health of our community as our top priority,” Spencer Conroy, vice president of Finance and Business Affairs, said. “Medical experts have emphatically stated that the number one way each of us can protect ourselves and our loved ones from the COVID-19 pandemic is to get vaccinated.

“Accordingly, the University is happy to announce three upcoming vaccination clinics on campus in September. In addition, we are happy to announce vaccination incentive programs benefitting students and employees who are yet to be vaccinated and those who already have been vaccinated. It is our hope that the combination of these efforts will further encourage our UST family to take this important step toward putting this pandemic behind us.”

Sweeten the deal: UST Offers $100 Cash Incentive

In addition, the first 20 students and first 20 faculty or staff who get any shot (first, second or booster) at our campus clinics on the designated dates will receive a $100 voucher from UST. Qualifying students will bring their voucher and student ID to the Business Office located on the second floor of the Herzstein Enrollment Services Center to collect their cash. Similarly, qualifying faculty or staff will receive their $100 (taxes will be paid by UST) by bringing their voucher to the Business Office and providing either their employee ID number or the last four digits of their social security number.

UST will also start a weekly raffle for the rest of the semester for entered individuals who are vaccinated. Each week two students and two employees will be selected at random to each receive a $250 cash prize. In order to be eligible and entered into the raffle, students or employees will need to present proof of full vaccination to any of the following locations on campus.
