Meet Marylyn Harris

Harris is president and CEO of Harrland Healthcare Consulting, LLC, and founder and executive director of the Women Veterans Business Center. She served as a Gulf War Army nurse and refers to herself as untraditional. While attending UST to earn her MBA, she said, “I was the only registered nurse in my business classes. Those classes taught me to be courageous and to solve problems and to teach other women veterans how to be leaders.”

In her work, Harris travels the country training and empowering women veterans and military families to found and grow “wealth-generating” businesses. She credits her 34 years of nursing education as the foundation for what she does. About her encounters during this pandemic, Harris said, “My experiences as a medical and psychiatric nurse helped me heal people globally.”
