Announcing Celebrity Chefs to Judge Tacos at Two Saints and a Taco Tasting

Event to be held at Saint Arnold Brewing Company

Chef Zeb Hartline, Houston Country ClubThis year’s festive Two Saints and a Taco Tasting (TSTT) alumni scholarship event, Nov. 10, at Saint Arnold Brewing Company, boasts a star-studded line-up of four celebrity chefs to judge the best taco. And that won’t be easy considering the list of popular restaurants in this every-taco-for-itself battle.

Meet the heavy-hitter chefs who will decide which taco delights the most taste buds.

Chef Zeb Hartline

Celebrity Judge Chef Zeb Hartline is executive chef at the Houston Country Club, where he knows how to please diners at one of the most prestigious and exclusive private clubs in the country. 

The Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts graduate has written, “I have a strong background in French cuisine, farm-to-table cooking … and a proven track record of delivering creative, award-winning dishes.”

Chef Jassi Bindra

Chef Jassi Bindra, AmrinaCelebrity Judge Chef Jassi Bindra dominated an episode of Food Network TV’s reality cooking competition show “Chopped,” when he outpaced three other chefs in three rounds “with his eclectic spin on some traditional Indian recipes.”

Originally from India, Chef Jassi makes his home in Texas, where he co-owns and serves as executive chef of Amrina, a fine-dining Indian restaurant in The Woodlands.

Chef Jassi has said he likes to “show how Indian cuisine can be sexy.” Find out if he will introduce a sexy winning twist on tacos at TSTT. 

Chef Eddie Jackson

Chef Eddie Jackson, Rosehill Beer Garden and Food Truck ParkMany already know Celebrity Judge Chef Eddie Jackson. The former NFL player and owner of Rosehill Beer Garden and Food Truck Park in Houston, like Chef Jassi, has TV appearances under his apron. After winning the 2015 season of The Next Food Network Star, he became a beloved member of the Food Network family and has been the face of several shows including BBQ Blitz, Kids BBQ Championship, Christmas Cookie Challenge, and Cooking Channel's Yum and Yummer, as well as Eddie Jackson’s Game-Day Playbook on foodnetwork.com.

Chef Eddie has also authored his first cookbook Game-Day Eats, which includes 100 fresh and inventive recipes for tailgating at home.

Chef Paul Friedman

He has had over 50 successful restaurant concepts in South Africa, Germany and the U.S. Chef Paul “takes people on a culinary exploration through extraordinary internationally inspired cuisine … with his flair for igniting the senses using simple, fresh ingredients with a twist.”

At his Houston restaurant, The Chef’s Table, Chef Paul demonstrates his lifetime love affair with food.

Guarding their special spices, sharpening their knives, and kneading their tortilla masa for the TSTT alumni extravaganza are award winning taco restaurant competitors, including Velvet Taco, Chuy’s, Escalante’s, Gordo Ninos, and Saint Arnold.
