Cade Kiser, senior on UST Men's GolfUST's Cade Kiser, a senior on the men's golf team from Katy, Texas, has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Character & Community Male Student Athlete of the Week for the week beginning October 10.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors student athletes who excel in the field of athletics and serve their campus and community.

When Kiser isn't in class or on the links, you can find him actively engaged in his school and golf community. Aside from being a golfer, he is also the graduate assistant at the Cameron School of Business, where he helps to advise undergrads and fulfill the day-to-day responsibilities of the school. He is also a member of the UST Chess Club. In his free time, he is a volunteer youth golf coach with his teammates at First Tee. In giving time to the next generation of golfers, Kiser is an ambassador for golf and St. Thomas.

Cade Kiser, senior, Men's GolfKiser is heavily invested in UST Athletics. Most recently, he was named SCAC Golfer of the Week, after taking first place at the Tempest Intercollegiate. In addition, he assists the sports information office by running the social media accounts for men's and women's golf, sharing scores, and helping with write-ups.

As a senior on the UST golf team, Kiser is grateful that the school has allowed him to make his legacy into what it is today. By being himself and staying true to his interests, Kiser has impacted athletics and the University. When asked what he wants student athletes to learn from him, it's simple, to “be great on the field, course and community.”
