Fast Track an ME.d. in Dual Language Leadership

Fast track your graduate education and earn a high-demand Masters of Education in Education Leadership (EL) for Linguistically Diverse Language Learners from the University of St. Thomas’ School of Education and Human Services. Students will finish this online degree in an accelerated 13-month program format.

“The Texas Education Agency reports that English Language Learners comprise the fastest growing student population in the state,” Dr. Ginny Torres-Rimbau, Professor and Director of UST’s Bilingual-Dual Language Program, said. “With a growth rate of over 200,000 students over the past seven years, the state reported over 7,500 teacher vacancies in the area of dual language education at the end of the 2017/2018 school year.”

Highlights of  Masters Degree Program

This Masters of Education degree will

  • Prepare future leaders for schools with linguistically diverse populations
  • Target coursework for the Texas Principal Standards for Principal Certification
  • Focus on Second and Dual Language Theories, Methods and Policy courses (12 hours)
  • Include Educational Leadership (15 hours that includes an internship/practicum experience

Affordable Tuition, Summer Start

Take advantage of a special tuition offer of $15,000 for a minimum cohort of 10 graduate students in this 13-month program. Tuition includes Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) training.
