Stoke Your Christmas Spirit at Christmas on the Mall

Don’t Miss the Jolliest Christmas Tree

Get your Christmas cheer on at the University of St. Thomas-Houston’s annual “Christmas on the Mall” Friday, Dec. 2, at UST’s Academic Mall from 6 to 9 p.m. This everyone-is-welcome event is bursting with meaning and merriment.

Special guests and traditions will begin with a blessing from the University’s chaplain, Fr. Paul English. Also, President Richard Ludwick, along with Mr. and Ms. UST — Calen Anderson and Kailee Mann — will kick things off by lighting the Christmas tree.

Fun Activities

Then, students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of UST will thrill to a host of activities, including:

·      Camel rides

·      Petting zoo

·      Horse-drawn carriage rides

·      Christmas Story light display on Yoakum Boulevard

·      Glass ornament photo booth by Art & Fun

·      Photo Print by Fun Fab Photo Booth

·      Yummy holiday treats: hot chocolate, hot apple cider, and cookies

·      Club fundraising

·      Holiday crafts led by student-led organizations

Brand New This Holiday Season

Don’t miss 2022’s newest attraction at Christmas on the Mall — a Christmas tree decorating competition. Judges from University Events, Alumni Relations, and University Advancement will behold trees decorated by different student clubs and departments to select the “most jolly tree.” The winner will be announced that evening and receive a plaque.

Christmas on the Mall coordinator Eveleny Plata said, “This year’s Christmas on the Mall is shaping up to be our best yet. And our ‘most jolly tree’ competition is a perfect addition to the fun. So come and share in UST’s holiday spirit.”
