Promising to knock your socks off this year, the much-loved Two Saints & a Taco Tasting (TSTT) event will take place during the University of St. Thomas-Houston’s exciting Homecoming 2023 weekend. When fundraising and fun come together to support scholarships for students, nobody does it better than the UST Alumni Relations team and the Alumni Board of Directors. So, mark your calendars for Two Saints & a Taco Tasting on Friday, Nov. 10, on the beautiful St. Thomas campus.

Event Co-chairs Lauren VerBerkmoes ’07 and Jacob Dilworth ’18 are brainstorming to offer “the best TSTT yet.”

“I love this event, and raising funds for student scholarships is why I joined the board five years ago,” VerBerkmoes said.

UST Alumni Director Amy Youngblood is thrilled at combining the popular scholarship fundraiser with Homecoming 2023.

“Two Saints and a Taco Tasting is such a unique and fun event and an alumni director’s dream because it is alumni-founded and driven by our fantastic UST alums who own it every year,” Youngblood said. “This is the event’s 12th year, and we anticipate that combining this unbeatable alumni tradition with Homecoming will make it our biggest reunion party and weekend of UST fun yet.”

Remembering the Magic of 2022

Last year’s get-together transformed the UST Academic Mall into a magical evening setting with starry twinkling lights overhead and plenty of entertainment. Inviting white tents defined the mall border, with chefs from competing restaurants vying to win one or both first-place trophies. But, of course, partygoers are winners, too, as they savor those delicious taco variations along with frosty beer and beverages. Between the bites, alumni reunited with life-long friends and made new ones. 

Dilworth said, “We hope that those who have attended the event in the past will come out again and those who’ve never attended will decide to come this year! It’s an awesome time to get together with friends and support a great cause!”
